Music Gear

Here is the music gear I use in my studio and for live performances.

In 2021 I made the jump and purchased the Yamaha CP73. It has been a fantastic live keyboard that has great sounds. I like the fact that I can use it as an audio interface in live performances.

Next I have got a midi controller keyboard. The Arturia Keylab 88 is a dedicated midi controller keyboard utilises sounds and plugins from my computer.

The Roland FA06 was a great little keyboard that I used for a while with built in effects for live sound. I also use this as a midi controller keyboard and combine sounds and plugins from my computer. This keyboard also functions as an audio interface running sounds from my computer through it and out the keyboard to my speaker.

Audio interface

I have been enjoying using the 404HD for about a year now for live performance and studio work. It gives me the option to have a small live mixer and/or recording interface. The ability to have XLR outputs to a mixer or speakers was a key aspect to the choice for getting this interface.

16 in 1 Usb-C Powered Hub

In order to connect a number of my items to my laptop I have found that this hub works well. I got myself a new Macbook power adapter that is 97w to power it and run all my devices as well as charge my Macbook at the same time as this supports PD to the Macbook. The only flaw so far when using it is that the network connection does not like it when I unplug and reconnect the Macbook. After upgrading my power adapter it works very well to power everything I have plugged in.

Cort A5 Bass Guitar

In 2020 I upgraded my bass to the Cort A5 bass which is a 5 string bass. This has been a lot of fun to learn to play.
